Start with your membership tiers
Decide whether you want to discuss a benefit for every eligible subscriber or for selected tiers. Define how a household, vehicle, or member is identified. The roadside program’s eligible vehicles may not be identical to the vehicles attached to the wash plan.
Clarify activation and what happens after a wash membership is paused, canceled, transferred, or reactivated. Those rules need to match the enrollment process and customer materials.
Give frontline staff a clear explanation
Staff should be able to say what is included, how the customer gets the instructions, and where to send an account question. Roadside dispatch and car-wash service are different support channels. A simple handoff prevents a stranded member from calling the wrong team.
Avoid promises of unlimited towing, immediate service, or coverage for all vehicles unless those exact terms are supported by the written program.
An established example
The AAPP Corporate Partnerships page describes roadside assistance through Woodie’s AutoClub for Woodie’s Wash Shack members. The arrangement illustrates how a benefit can be included under a car wash’s membership brand. A new proposal will define its own terms.
What to bring to the conversation
Share the number of eligible memberships, your tier structure, the states you serve, how changes are recorded, and the materials customers currently receive. Include who manages member questions and the launch timing you are considering.
